I would be so tempted to put some Bushwhacker flares on it though.

I raced a '08 CC Fx4 F250 6.4 and he had a DPF delete, tune, straight thru exhaust and Mobil 1 delvac 5w40 synthetic, and stock 20" rims. He also had a Detroit Locker in the rear with 4.30 gears front and back. Needless to say, he blew the doors off my 6.0 on a power run from 0 to 80mph.

I will bet you he would destroy a '08 Duramax....

We purchased this big truck to pull a 13K plus 5th wheel all over the country. The truck , set up for 5th wheel towing weighs in at over 9K lbs. Truck and camper at over 22K lbs. We get 10/11 Average towing and 15/17 when driving solo. Execpt for a bad DPF early on it has been trouble free. We never expected that this big truck would get 16MPG towing and 25mpg solo.We are satisfied with the job it is doing. We have a Honda Accord that gets very good MPG but can pull nothing.

You have 2 different things posted here. First you say 10-11 towing and 15-17 solo and then you turn around and say 16 towing and 25 solo?????? I havent heard or seen anyone getting that especially with the dpf on.

He actually said 10-11 towing and 15-17 solo. He said he never expected to get 16-17 towing and 25 solo. To give him the benefit of the doubt. His first numbers are acurate with DPF

I love my Powerstroke. I wish it clattered a bit louder, but that's just me. Anybody know how to make clatter louder?

I had a 08 duramax LTZ for less than a month and traded for my F-250 with no regrets.
