P040D, P1000 codes

I ran for codes on my Spartan and it popped up with 2 DTC codes. One was P040D: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Temperature Sensor A High Circut. And also P1000: OBD Systems Readiness Test Not Complete.

Can anyone help me understand these codes please and what actions I need to take to fix these problems? Thanks for any and all input guys and gals.

P1000 is nothing to be concerned over. Simply put, it means that the onboard systems monitoring has not been able to complete all its checks.

The EGR temp sensor code is probably just that...a failing sensor. Pretty typical from what I have seen so far on the 6.4s.

Yup. Change EGT sensor in RH up-pipe.
