Tranny filter change

How many quats if fluid do I need to do a filter change in my tranny. Putting in a solenoid, figured I'd change what I could. Thanks.

Mercon SP or LV only. I used between 8 and 9 quarts when I services my tranny.

Great time to put a Mag Hytech trans pan on. Increases the fluid capacity by 7 quarts and keeps the temps low when ur hauling a heavy load or climbing the big hills.

And you could add a Dieselsite trans bypass filter system too.

Never thought of a new pan..... did the change this morning with a PTP solenoid. Shifts nice now from 3-4. 4-5 locked is a little slow yet but better. The price and availability of the fluid made me think about a bypass filter as we were doing it. Maybe I'll get one. Thanks.
