Wondering if I used the wrong brand

Hello,

I just purchased my first Diesel Truck last Friday. It is a 2009 King Ranch 4 wheeel drive. Without reading alot on this forum, I used WIX Oil and Fuel Filters. I know everyone has an opinion, but from all the reading I mostly hear that Motorcraft or Racor is the best. I have used WIX filters in the past but only on gas engines and was pleased.

Can y'all please give me your opinions.

I ordered the Spartan Tuner and a DPT/CAT delete pipe that will be here Tuesday.

I am ready to do a coolant flush within the next month or so and I have been reading many forums with mixed reviews of different products ...so I need some gudance in this area also.

I can already tell that I will be spending a lot of money on upgrades, just like I did with my Stangs. Tax time will be here soon so I plan on buying the Sinister Diesel Complete 6.4L Powerstroke EGR Valve/Cooler Delete Kit with High Flow Intake Elbow, Sinister Coolant Filter System, S&B or AFE intake and a FREEDOM IN MOTION SYNC LOCKPICK.

I'd just change them on your next oil change to motocraft stuff. I did the same thing when I first bought the truck but for piece of mind I use motocraft filters.

I installed the Spartan last night and I am running the 150hp dpf on tune. I could not get the kool aid grin off my face! The power and acceleration is amazing. I can not imagine what it will feel like next week when my buddy and I crawl underneath and do the dpf/cat delete and install a higher tune.

I am still looking for the coolant guidance.

For coolant I would personally use a cat EC-1 coolant. This is the one I used.

hey man thanks for your service if your in or was lol. Anyways I have used nothing but wix filters since day one on my truck and I have 240k. I run rotella and have had no problems. I did a coolant flush and switched it to cat elc. For all your performance parts look around and check prices out. They are all the same product in my opinion. I like to get my stuff through performance truck products. They have allway replied to my emials

I ordered more stuff today. I have to stay offline or my woman is gonna kill me.
Here is what I have on the way: Sinister Diesel 6.4L EGR Valve/Cooler Delete Kit With High Flow Intake Elbow, Sinister Coolant Filtration System / Filter Kit,
S&B intake, and the Flo-Pro turbo down pipe.

I spent $2500.00 plus the cost of the truck in the last two weeks. I am about to be in the dog house, if I don't chill for a while.

I got out in 2007. They sent me to war in 05 and we had too may rules of engagement. It's like fighting with one hand tied behind your back, so I hung my hat up after my obligation. I did 16 years.
