6.4 cranks & won't start

Hi guys
Just bought an 08 f250. 2nd day of having it, i was driving to work and it shut down.. Never put out any smoke (that i noticed). Truck also never put a CEL out. So i had it towed to the ford dealer and they will be looking at it in the morning.
MY big thing is i was talking to the service guys and they made these trucks sound like they are the worst thing in the world. I traded a 6.0 on this truck that was totally problem free, but i thought i was makign the right choice for the long run... Until now. the service guy was telling me that the turbo's are always going on the 6.4 and that the fuel systems get changed all the time. Not to mention all the sensors on the DPF. Are you guys seeing these kind of issues with the 6.4 or not? Also i was planning on doing a DPF delete with innovative or spartan tunes, but he was trying to tell me that after deletes he thinks the sensors act up and go bad that were on the DPF, that are plugged once you delete the DPF?
is any of this true and to what extent.

The bad thing about talking to a ford tech about these things is that most of them only work on stock trucks. Rendering them useless to talk to about most aftermarket parts.

The 6.4 has some problems when left stock. Most of which, through tuning and aggressive maintenance will be solved.

Hope it's not too serious, how many miles?

it only has 53K.
So if i do i dpf delete intake and exhaust, would you go with a spartan SCT with innovative tunes or H&S programmer? i'm leaning to the SCT since my 6.0 had erics tunes which ran Awesome. But my friend had a spartan and the Dash Daq was the best programmer i've ever used.. i don't no much about the H&S but since the EPA has came down on them they are the least appealing to me.

I personally went with an H&S and am pleased with it. But I have never tried anything else. All the major tuners are good. Custom tunes being a little better obviously.

Well my ford dealer just called back and told me it's not a sensor.. Said it's a fuel issue? not sure what that means but they said it will be friday before they can get it in the shop. so we will have to see what all is damaged.

Has the hpfp ever been replaced? Hopefully that's not what it is!

Yep under factory warranty. And if it was fuel related would the dealer bought the truck from have any way of knowing it was going to puke?
