I did a comparison of most if not all aftermarket intercoolers offered for the 6.4. They were all pretty similar. I liked the numbers, specs, and testing done to the aFe so I bought one.
Daily driving- it'll give you noticeable low end gain. My EGTs were pretty low so not much change.
Towing heavy- EGTs never got over *1100 degrees towing 15k lbs.
Race- I don't race much or make WOT runs so I really can't tell a difference. I think some guys with bigger turbos have them and some don't.
Doesn't seem that practical nor biggest bang for your buck. However nothing wrong with running your engine a little cooler.
