6.4 Help

I have a friend with a 2008 F-250. He wants to do the dpf delete and add a tuner. What would be the best thing to do. What's it gonna do to the warranty. Thanks in advance

Well if he does the DPF delete and regen delete tuner, he can kiss the warranty good bye. But at the same time if doesn't do a regen tuner and the DPF delete and just does a tuner that "allows" you to run the DPF his warranty is gone too, because well your still reprogramming the truck. About the most he could get away with is a CAI and DPF back exhaust with the vents, but really its not going to be worth it unless you get rid of the DPF

Heard rumor that Banks is teaming up with Ford to make a chip that would increase mpg by 5-8. Does anyone know if this is true???

The problem with the 6.4's is the tuners leave a finger print, so to speak in the PCM so the dealer can tell its been tuned. Though I hear some are trying to get around this.

Yeah you can keep it, in fact I say you do keep it, its worth $2500, I learned that the hard way...... The problem is that you need to find a flange to fit the DP, now there is a member who has that worked out, but I don't know his name....

The way around that has been found, there are same programmers that don't leave a finger print or "water mark" in the computer, the key is to not change certain parameters in the stock programming with the aftermarket tuning
