Quick question for the gurus out there
Well I don't know if this is the right section for this, but here goes. I live in MA where there are inspections requiring the OBD to report back all systems go, meaning that my tuned and deleted truck fails obviously. So last Sunday I put it back to stock to drive around for a little bit to reset everything, but now I keep getting a CEL code number P0404, EGR circuit deal. Researched the hell out of it, seems like the EGR valve is stuck after not being used while tuned. My question is, if I erase the code right before the inspection, will that flag the system as "not ready"? I don't need the EGR to work for any other reason than this stupid inspection so naturally I'm trying to avoid replacing the damn thing. My concern however is that the code keeps popping up every other time I start the truck oddly enough, and doesn't seem to be unsticking itself like some others have had luck with and that this might keep resetting the computer when I erase it. Any help would be great guys, and I appreciate it in advance!
