Hypothetical engine swap...

I am askin hypothetically, cause I know its probably way more then I would wanna spend, but if I wanted to take the 6.4 outa my sig truck, pull the tranny, and lets say, swap in a C7 CAT w/ 9 spd tranny, how difficult would this be? I did see one swapped into an OBS F350 once, so I assume it would fit under the hood of one of these new trucks...

I think some of the f550 came with a cat stock

That was a option on the F-650/F-750, the F-550 has the same engine options that the F-250-F-450 had.

I think your going to have some fun trying to get a CAT under the hood. Post lots of pics when you make it happen.

LOL...well Im thinkin that I prolly wont make it happen, just a pipe dream. Maybe when I win the lotto then I will look at doin it as I suspect Im gonna need about that much cash to do it...

would be really cool to have a cat under the hood. f550s were also available with a cummins.

There was no Cummins ootion in a 550. If you saw one it would be a swap. The 650 n 750 came with a cummins or cat option as posted above.
