Auxiliary switches (non upfitter) pictures!

I'm looking for ideas of where to put one or two switches for my Rigid LED lights.
If I had the upfitter switches it would be a no-brainier but unfortunately I do not.

I'm looking for ideas of where to mount the switch(es) on the dash that's not super obtrusive and easy to get to.

You can buy the upfitter switches and still add them to your truck if you want to keep it factory.

Otherwise you can add switches anywhere that you have enough room. Radio Shack has a nice selection of small switches to choose from, here are some that I have added:

Honestly, I'd pay the 125 for the upfitter switches. They look a lot better IMO than any aftermarket switched out there.

I'd recommend you add the upfitter switches as well. The kit isn't crazy expensive, and it's a really clean look. It's easy to hook things up to them too, it's a nice system.

I have upfitter switches in my truck, but I needed some On-Off-On switches in addition to those. I removed the ashtray in my '08 and added a piece of ABS and a couple switches. I used the back part of the ashtray for a base, cut it up a little, and glued the ABS to the front of it. I think it turned out nicely.

I think the '08s were the last year with an ashtray, but I can't say that for certain.

This is a great idea. I looked into the upfitter switches but the kit seems to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $150.

My truck is an 08 and it has an ashtray. I'm not a smoker so it's wasted space. Thanks for the idea!

I added the upfitters and it was a great decision... Relatively easy to install.
