6.0 vs 6.4 for a drag truck

ok so i am really debating a swap into a 1970 ford ranchero gt.
i know it will be a alot of work and what the swap will entail
the truck already has a 460 in it but i want some thing different.

so now comes the debate a 6.0 or a 6.4
i want the most bang for my buck i am shooting for any were between 600 and 800hp.
i am trying to find out witch swap will be the most doable and with the most aftermarket support.

list i need to know before i pull the trigger is
engines wights with trannys
how tall they are
what accessories i dont need to run the engine
do i need the whole wire harness or not
how easy is it to get the hp mark
what engine is more reliable and can take pass after pass at the track


what the end goal here is to have a different kinda cool
and a fast drag car/truck
i am trying to get the most info so i can make the most informed decision
so i can go about this in the right way instead of a hack job

6.4seems to yield a little more HP for the money

Is this a trick question....LOL. Go with the 6.4, it makes more power for the dollar. It is also more reliable. Since the Ranchero is a 1970, you will never have to worry about emissions. Go for the 6.4 then delete and destroy the competition.

dont know a whole lot about the 6.4 hence my asking

the only problem i have with the 6.4 is it seams to be alot wider then the 460 and believe me its really tight in there

the 6.0 dose not look as wide but it looks tall and i would have to get a custom hood made for sure
