Hard shifting.

Since I've had my truck deleted and tuned(+250hp) my shifting has been abrupt. I read a lot about this. I emailed the guy that did my tune and he changed it, backed off a bit and I reloaded it. Shifted easier but still bangs on each shift with anything over 1/4(very light pedal). 3/4 is the roughest. They feel positive but holy crap is it annoying.. It jars the truck.

Today I towed my boat home and that's always fun shifting event. Boat is about 9k lbs. I never use tow/haul other than to slow down. Well today I decided to use it. The shifts where smooth. Even half pedal was smooth.

What am I missing here? I thought tow/haul would increase pressure and shift harder. It was smooth as I can imagine possible.

Sounds like the same thing spartan has their early lock shifting shifts firmer then their late lock shift which would be the close to the same as a tow/haul shift. Talk to the guy who did you tune and get the truck to shift at higher rpm or get traction bars

Traction bars help with the axle warp. The warp is what you are feeling everytime it shifts. I got traction bars on my truck, it made the shifts as good as the stock tune and im running the 310 tune.

How come the tow/haul doesn't do this at all?
