First thoughts....wow!

Well guys some of you have probably seen me posting in the 6.4 threads for a few months now reason being is because i purchased a 2008 king ranch 350 single wheel. bought it with 89k on it, as it sits now 93 and some change love the truck love the power and everything that comes along with that. cons mpg!! i hate it so much!! oh well didnt write this thread to talk about cons. Made it to talk about what kinda beast it really is...now! i bit the bullet and after much needed reading and i knew i was going to do it just wasnt sure when. But my 6.4 kr now has a flo-pro 5" turbo back exhaust, sinister egr delete with intake elbow, and h&s mini maxx race tunner. got it back from the shop this afternoon and my mechanic said i now had a beast of a truck as soon as i left the shop and pulled out in the traffic HOLLLLLYYYY SHHHHH!TTT i was so impressed! now i gotta learn how to drive nice and get the mpg out of it that i really want. ONLY question is how long should it take for tunner learn the shifts and all that stuff? feels like its still shifting pretty firm. Thanks guys!!

Did you or the mechanic do the transmission relearn procedure? That makes all the difference in the world.

got it all figured out i did some reading on another thread about the different shift schedules and what not and i finally got it right what i like it doing. Im running the HD300 tune on street with shift schedule 2 in the mid level when the TC locks on for just 5th before it was locking up in 4th and 5th driving me nuts doing 45mph and it would reved at 1800 rpms just ready to climb a hill haha. What are you guys seeing for mpg generally?? my lie-o-meeter says 14.5-15.3 it was steady 11.8 with all the emisson junk on there. i do a good bit of around town driving takes me 15 mins tops to get to work so does that sound abuot right mpg wise? Thanks guys!!
