Just got a brand new radiator courtesy of ESP. There is a TSB about the hoses and it looked like my hoses were never replaced, nor was my degas bottle. New radiator, seals, hoses, and degas. Just had to pay the $100 deductible. Cost FORD $1400. Had a slow leak from the driver's side end of the radiator, along with white crust on the top of the hose which I'm assuming was a leak up near the block.
I previously bought a bottle of Restore and Restore Plus, and had planned on switching over to CAT fluid. I also added a coolant filter 5k miles ago and did the first filter change which looked pretty bad (sand, debris, rust). Do I still need to flush with the Restore/Plus and change fluid, or is the Gold good for awhile now since they added a bunch of new fluid.
