Amsoil Tranny Fluid

Just did a pan service on my truck today and filled it up with Amsoil. Makes spartan shifting a lot smother. Its nice knowing its got new fluid and a filter in to.

These transmissions can be picky concerning proper fluid. I burned up a 5R55E in a supercharged 4.0L ranger within 500 miles of replacing the ATF with amsoil (after 10K+ on ford ATF). So I'm a little gun shy about non OE fluids in todays autos. Good luck in the long term! Amsoil makes some good engine oil.

Hopefully its SP rated which is what ford calls for so we will see.

FYI, there is a difference in Amsoil trans fluid products. For LV and SP you need this.

From what I've researched it's the only one approved for SP. The other 4 they make are not.
