What goes in here?

Just like the topic states, looks like a pulley or something used to go there... But nothing.

if your out in the tundra or most anywhere a spare alternator would be better IMHO due to the fact the dual isn't set up to be a redundant alternator and is more complex

and costly to retrofit in a single application ( i do still think they are a cool option )

I upgraded to a higher output Alt and keep my old as a spare

I am pretty sure the dual set up is used on rigs with the ambulance prep package, I could be wrong though.

Ive had a few none emergency vehicles come in with them on. Especially ones with a 5th wheel installed so it is a option.

My 6.4 has dual alternators. It also has what appears to be factory 5th wheel hitch mounts welded on the frame. No factory trailer brake though. It is optioned out very weird. Heated mirrors, no heated seats. Stuff like that. Couldn't get a window sticker from the dealer. I bought it used.
