6.4L Injection Pump

Hey all!

I have a 2008 F550 with a 6.4L Powerstroke, and the Ford dealer tells me my high pressure pump (injection pump) is faulty. Of course they want to charge me to remove the cab and replace it for a ridiculous amount of $$$...

I was wondering, is it even possible to replace the injection pump without removing the cab? I know it would be much easier to remove the cab but I don't have a hoist and if it is possible i'd like to do it myself. I would also like to know some components to remove first to make it easier access.

Yes, search for "HPFP cab on" and you should see some good info. I had the P0088 code on my '10 and ended up fixing it by the dealer doing a $250 reflash of the computer. Havent had an issue since.

Here is a link to a cab on HPFP replacement: First timer 6.4 cab lift to replace HPFP

Hope this helps.
