Considering this 08 6.4L - Thoughts?

Guys, I currently have an 05 6L CC 4x4 with 81k miles that I got in December. I'm happy with it but came across a nice looking 08 yesterday. It has 78k miles, navi, rear dvd, backup cam, etc.

The pics here are nice: 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty, $33,000 - Cars.com

I went to check it out this afternoon and there's some nasty scratches on it. It's a little rough around the bed and the driver floor but besides that it's very clean and nice.

I sent these to a body guy that I know and he wasn't too confident the larger white scratches would come out.

As you know, seeing a new truck with better bells and whistles is a bit intoxicating. Anyone else think these scratches are too much and take away from the beauty of these trucks?

I got my 08 f350 srw kr last year with 89k miles on it for 32k. I spent months looking and found it I think I may have been too quick at picking it up but is happy with it. I found mine in Covington. Those scratches can be fixed with some extra money I'd ask them to take more money off because of it.

I think 32k is too much. You should be able to get a truck like that for around 25-22k... Use those scratches as negotiating tool. Basically the whole truck needs repainted if you want it done right. You can't just paint a door without blending in the other door or front fender. Basically hood, passenger side fender and passenger side front door are the only things untouched when fixing those scratches correctly.

I see that you live in or near New Orleans, LA. With all of the flood water you have
had down there in the last 3 or 4 years I would run a Ford OASIS Report on it to
make sure it's not a Ford buy back truck. Good Luck.

Thanks for the responses guys. After looking at it again yesterday, I concluded it's not worth dealing with. It looked like it was a work truck used by a crew of guys so probably not kept up well. I'll keep an eye out for an equally equipped 6.4l in better condition.

Have you thought about looking in houston or Jackson? They're close and there's plenty of them around there.

I have mine up for sale. I have a baby on the way and I'm wanting to get into something shorter. It's priced high I know, but that's just because I got tired or people offering 20k.

Thanks! Love my truck, but I have a five year old now and a baby on the way. Not sure if want to be throwing them both up in the truck for the next five years! Guess I should have thought a little longer abour buying a lifted truck.
