Tire size is a good indicator:
35" is stock or leveling
37" is a leveling 4, or 6"
38 is an 8"
40 is a 10-12"

You would think but I've seen lots of strange combinations around here. I've seen leveling kits with 37s and I've seen 8 inch lifts with 35s just wondering if I can measure some how

Lol, tell me about it. I see the same strange stuff around here, 12" lifts with 33" tires and 22" rims. I scratch my head and laugh lol. But a couple ways I can tell what size lift is how big the blocks are in the rear usually max block lift you can get with factory springs is 8", if it has after market springs it's 10"+ of lift(most of the time). And if you look at the front there's usually a part # somewhere whether coils/shock/drop brackets, etc. that you can call the manufacturer and ask them what size lift it goes with, or do what everybody else does now days and google it hehe. Or you can measure top of fender well to the ground and minus it from stock/factory measurements and minus difference in tire heights. Hope this helps

It helps to at least figure out what brand it is. Then you can call them up and get measurements for some they offer that you think are close; say a 6" vs. 8".

I had to do the same thing with my truck. BDS got me straightened out. And avoided a headache for me when the local shop quoted me $1200 for new rear OEM springs....when I have BDS 6" lift springs. They also gave me the travel I need to have in the shocks, so I can replace them with appropriate models.

p.s. - mine is 6" and it came with 18's and 35's....and the front rubs on the driver side mud flap (but because it is bent out of shape).

Look at the rear leaf springs and look at the block size.
