Just bought an 08 6.4 - Advice please

Last night I purchase an '08 6.4 F350. This truck is bone stock for now but I can already feel how much more power it had over my '07 6.0. It's super quiet too! The truck was originally sold in July 2007.

I plan to go through it over the next year or 2 and perform the necessary upgrades as described in the sticky thread by CountryAggie.
I've been researching this forum for a couple of months in preparation for my purchase and now that I have the truck I have a couple questions I hope the community can help answer.

I notice that it doesn't have a button to turn off TCS. There is only the 4wd switch and backup sensor off button, nothing else in that area. Last night on gravel, I punched the throttle to see if TCS would kick in and it didn't. My Dad's 08 with V10 has a TCS button so I'm perplexed. Could it be that I don't have TCS? That would be great if it doesn't.

Also, the question on tuners. If I perform the upgrades described in CountryAggie's thread, I'll need a tuner that can disable the functions in the computer so I don't get codes. I see that Spartan makes them but requires you to fill out a form stating offroad use only. I also see that H&S no longer makes tuners to do this. The used H&S tuners seem to run about $1200. Are there other options? I like the idea of a tuner with a dispaly like the SCT livewire.

Thanks in advance. There is so much useful information on this forum. Sometimes it is difficult to locate and digest it all.

My truck is set up the same way, no TCS.

I run the H&S with the delete and bought it right before all the havoc. You want to be able to delete the DPF, it's the main cause of cancer on these trucks.

Welcome and enjoy your new ride.

Thats awesome news! So glad that I don't have to worry about TCS while I'm out on the dunes.

I definitely intend to delete the EGR, now I just need to find a tuner. Do the custom tunes from Innovative take care of it?

The only programmers that are capable of deleting the DPF are H&S and Spartan I believe, but there may be others. The tuners that delete will be costly though, minimum of $1,000.00, probably higher now. The H&S Race tuner may still delete, not sure. There is a lot of information on the tuners following the 6.4 performance forum.
