The Dr's Black Beauty

Hey Folks,

I'm new here and looking forward to learning more about these trucks. Here is my recent purchase. I couldn't be more happy with it. I was eying the truck for a couple of weeks after searching for a several months. I almost bought a 6.0L until I found this one. I will tell you its so hard to find one of these with a hand shaker. It seems like nobody wants to sell them or maybe they are that rare. its a 2008 F250 XL SC/LB 4wd with a stick. My buddy RonJ(also a member) and I flew down to Louisiana to check it out. I was nervous as I didn't know if the truck was beat to heck or what not. Of course I got a tons of pictures I requested, ran a carfax and an oasis report. She checked out ok! I ordered a Spartan tuner for it and planned to also get a DPF/Cat delete pipe when I got back. When we arrived I saw something suction cupped to the window. First thing I though GPS and that's what the salesman said. My buddy being a performance/diesel/mechanic went poking around. Found a wire under the dash with an OBDII plug... well we found out it has an H&S Race Mini Maxx! I rolled under the truck to inspect everything and found it had a DPF delete pipe on it also! To make a long story short, the 1,607 mile trip back home was enjoyable(besides the slipping clutch).

All I can say it I am very pleased with my truck and plan to keep it for a long time. I have a few future mods I'm planning for for now it'll be a Southbend dual disk clutch first.

Nice. I'd love to have a single cab manual, but I'd really like one with a short bed.

I guess I'll just have to make do with my CCLB.

Nice looking truck, and the Mini Maxx is a nice bonus. Enjoy it!
