loud howl/vibration

was driving yesterday and was on a two lane road, and ofcoarse somebody was driving 15 under the limit so I passed them.. when I did enjoyed it so much that I just didn't stop..lol well did around 100mph. Anywho.. I got this crazy loud howl, and it was vibrating my dash even... sounded like it came from the turbo's but I left off, so my turbo's would down spool, and it still did it until my speed settled back down to around 80mph... I THINK it was cause from wind.. I've had my truck up to like 115mph and never had this issue.. and it was on the same road even.. and sometimes I'll hear it if there's a very strong cross wind and I'm doing 70mph...

any ideas?

Ive seen this problem with many trucks including my own at high speeds. It is the windshield. I am not sure of the fix or why. I think a guy put tape around his windshield edge just to see and the problem went away

Seriously? thats really weird... atleast I'm not the only one, cause it seems really crazy when it happens.. the first time it happened I flipped out cause I thought my turbo's were going to explode or something else bad was going to happen...

So you guys just deal with it? there's gotta be something going on that can prevent.. preferrably not tape... and where did he put the tape at anyways.. just curious so that i can try it next time it happens.. down here in south texas, it's so hot that it makes it super windy during the day (forgot the name for this occurance) so it happens almost always when I'm at high way speeds... some days worse than others.

Mine only will do it with a strong crosswind or something if I am driving 90+ mph and that is only sometimes that it will do it. So it doesn't do it enough to bother me. It did scare me the first time too. He just did the tape to see if that was the location of the problem. I want to think he had his windshield resealed or replaced IIRC

09 f250Supercrew lariat.
Weirdest thing ever, kind of like a ghost playing a harmonica
Happens to me too, weirdest times. Usually about 75-80 miles per hour.
If I push on my upper door frame I can make it stop. It sometimes comes from either door. Wondering if it is a door seal problem?
Let me know if y'all figure it out.
My wife gets on my a** every time.

I never figured out my issue... It rarely does it and only if there is a very strong cross wind... Mine sounds like it's coming from the dash right by the turbos... When it does do it I can slightly feel it though

Windshield seal. I taped mine just to see if it helped, it worked instantly. Looked dorky with white masking tape up the sides though. Anyone got an idea on ho to seal it better?
Just FYI, Not thinking black tape
