Are short trips bad for my truck

So I just got a new job that is only 5 minutes from my house is that going to be bad on my 6.4 I have a tuner and delete if that makes any difference

With it deleted it definitely helps because u don't have to worry about making it all the way through a regen if it were to happen on the way to work. My truck is stop and go short rides all day long usually. And we haven't had any issues with our trucks really. You should be fine. Just be sure to take it out and open it up once a week or so

Longer trips are always better, but the industry I working in I see 6.4s idle all day and make 100 meter trips and they are still running. Being deleted helps a lot!

And don't romp on it if your engine temp isn't in the normal operating temp range. Short trip like that your probably barely getting the engine to normal temp

you'll definitely want to run it longer at least once a week, or use marine grade oil in the thing.... at that time/distance, h20 that condenses in the crank case doesn't have enough heat long enough to vaporize out..
