2006 F450 Diesel Engine Options

Hi there,

We need to replace a blown engine in our F450 work truck and I was wondering what direct plug-in options would be.

I'm assuming any ford diesel option from the same model years would fit but I'd like to confirm.

I'd also like to know if any of the diesels from the following model years 2008+ would plug in?

Does anyone know if the connectors stayed the same?

Simple answer is no. Two different engines with two different emissions systems.

Is it safe to say that the 6.0 Diesel from an '03-'10 E350 will bolt/connect right in?

i dont think its safe to say because 08-10 had dpf on the 6.0 so im sure they have different computers/parts.
