regen

I've had my 2008 6.4 for a little over a month now and it has never done the regen. My boss had a 08 dump truck and every time I was in it it would regen. As far as I know this truck is bone stock. I'm getting nervous something is broken. I think I've driven it 600-800 miles since I bought it.

After one of the ford flashes the regen message only comes on for a couple seconds so maybe it's possible that you just haven't noticed the message pop up otherwise if there's no check engine light or warning messages then I wouldn't think there's anything to worry about.

When I bought my 08 a few months back I didn't noticed the message because its there and gone so quick. If you're driving and notice the gas mileage getting worse hit the systems check so it'll run through everything and the last message that should appear will say its doing a regen if it is in fact doing it.

As your cruising down the road, hit the setup->reset button. It will cycle through the sensor checks and notify you at the end if you are in regen by displaying 'CLEANING EXHAUST FILTER' message. If no message, then you are not in regen.
