Optimum speed

I have a stock 2009 6.4L. Is there an optimum speed when towing (in this case a 10K lb 5th wheel) where fuel economy seriously degrades? What would be best on the engine? Thanks for your input.

I find anything over 2000 RPM has a significant affect on my fuel economy. This usually means anything above 70mph.

Depends in your gearing and tire height. I have 3:73's with 35" tires and the faster I go the more fuel I use. Haven't had the patience to cruise any slower than 65.... For the best mileage, get into 5th and keep the revs low and the boost low. Probably around 55-60mph.
