Looking at a 2010 F450, what do I look for?

I am looking at getting a 2010 F-450. It has 8600 miles on it and has the dpf deleted with a SCT. The truck is at a dealer. What should I be looking for? I know there is something about the radiators in the 6.4 trucks. Does this apply for the 2010 trucks and what else is there that the Oasis report should have on it?

With that low of miles on the truck, should be not be anything wrong with it. The 2010 are less problematic than the 2008.

Watch the f-450 for front cover leaks from cavitation...other than that double check all the common 6.4 stuff...search option will get you all the info you need...

From what I've read the radiator leaks were only really common on the job 1 trucks and then after that were pretty much problem free. but go ahead and check to be sure. the one thing I hate about looking in the engine bay on dealership lots is they degrease the entire engine so it's really hard to tell if there was ever any kind of leak coming from the engine. but with only 8600 you shouldn't have any problem with it, and it already has the dpf deleted!

Damnit boy that's a good find on that year of truck. I would buy it in a heartbeat. I've always wanted a 450 but I guess I've been happy with my 350.

I would make sure the old dpf is in the bed and all the stuff that goes with it. Im assuming it is out of warranty ?

Hmm for a 10' model with only 8600 miles on it... Wonder why its at the dealer? Id do a good check on it and get a carfax etc... Just to be safe.

^^ Agreed, too good to be true?? That is some low mileage that's for sure, sat in the shop its whole life and now it's off lease?? If you can't find any faults, snap it up! That's like a new 3 year old truck ha.

I test drove the truck on Wednesday. Everything checks out clean. Oasis and carfax were good. The dealer also had another history report as well. I told them my concerns about not having the DPF and a warranty and what I would pay for it. I got one call back about an hour after I left the dealer and they aren't there yet. They need to come down in price or I need to sell the wife's van to make it work. Definitely a nice truck.
