Drivers up-pipe question

I searched this and can't get the answer I'm looking for. The question is, I'm pulling my turbos to rebuild and have to loosen up the drivers side up-pipe I do have a full EGR delete with a blocking plate at the bottom of the pipe. Is the sencer on that pipe active with my h&s egr delete? And if so would it be ok to just eliminate that pipe and put my blocking plate on the passenger up-pipe that pipe connects too?

This is something I think everyone should do when doing egr delete. Here it is. Hope this helps. It's a tight squeeze with your arms. Good luck. Http://www.powerstroke.org/forum/6-4...elocation.html

I started smoking at idle after warmed up, no loss of fluids just strong diesel smell goes away while driving. Went thee the motions and found some oil in the turbo. I run mild hot tune mostly and pull a 5er from time to time so I figured it was time for some new wheels to drop some EGT's . Had trouble with that dam driver up-pipe with the catalyst and just thought why the hell do I need that Dom thing with a delete?
