Used 08 450 Questions

Recently we just bought a 08 F-450 and I have a few questions.

Is the DPF from a 6.7 smaller than the dpf from the 6.4? This truck was clearly tuned, but yet the bonehead dealer slapped what looks to be a brand new DPF on it, but it is a fair bit smaller, a lot lighter, and different looking than the DPF that came off my 08 6.4... It would still smoke with the DPF on. We have sense removed it and installed the DPF-R+.

The tune it was running had great throttle response and pretty big power (not like the HD300 I run but not too far off). We went ahead and bought the DPF-R though because we didn't have a way of knowing what tune it was running. It was owned by a trucking company in Arizona... Anyone have any ideas? Also, it keeps saying to check air filter. The air filter is clean. We are running a 70 hp tune though.

Oh what a pain.
My suggestion would be to take it to the dealer and have them flash the PCM. That would put the truck back to stock. At the same time have the CAT/DPF installed. You wanna make sure all the sensors (four of them) are good. Check their wiring to make sure its not cut or damaged……Then you should be good to go.
I hope someone else chimes in with more info on this & GL to you.

Title on hand like always
