08 F350 (LR) brake locks up

This is the only one that does this, it is intermittent and when it does happen it gets really hot.
So far I took it to in to 2 shops for estimates, #1 said both side rear brakes needs calipers, rotor & pads to the tune of &800. #2 said just needs the 2 flexible brake hoses replaced (calipers, rotor & pads ok) & system bleed for about $100.
Quite a difference in the 2 estimates & I am wondering WTH?
Any help appreciated. Jim Sr.

I'd lean more towards caliper than flex hose.

Calipers used to be a seasonal thing around this area.

If they've been super hot from sticking on, replacing the pads and checking the rotors for cracks would be a good idea.

I have thought of that also, it can't be good if they (rotor & caliper) got that hot.
Thanks BAH
