Is she worth it?????

I have been looking at a sweet 2009 F250 Lariat Forest Green on Silver with 133868 miles on the odometer (215441KM).Do you think she has to many miles on the motor?Dealer wants 23,000k. Thanks for your input.

The cost of ownership on these trucks, or at least mine, is pretty expensive. I'm going to dump my truck once the power train warranty is up. Repairs are way too expensive when they aren't covered under warranty in my opinion. It really is a gamble. Who knows, you might have a truck that just needs oil and filter changes the rest of its life or it can be in the shop multiple times for thousands of dollars each time you leave. I have 80,000km/50,000 miles and my Oasis report reads like a never ending novel.

from my research yes, I have seen trucks similar go for closer to 30 doesn't mean I wouldn't talk them down to 21 ;-). 6.4s maintained at average levels don't seem to live long so you might need to put money into it after a few months.

The truck you looking at IS sweet......the mileage is NOT.
Like someone else said is a gamble on it for the rest of its life.
If that dealer is in in that truck for more than $14,000 they payed waaay too much (but I doubt it).
So it comes down to they wanna make 9 grand off you. They are entitled to profit (cause they have a big overhead) but IMO not that much.

Talk them down to under 20.

The truck is great, 133,000 is nothing. Just have it inspected at a reputable shop to ensure. Ask for maint records.

Get the oasis Report like others have said and see how much has been done to the truck. If it comes back with only fuel and filter changes and you can get it for under 20k, I'd add a aftermarket warranty (from a good company, do your homework) with a decent deductible and then take great care of it! Do you plan on working the truck? I couldn't imagine owning a 6.4 or full size diesel if I didn't need it to farm...they can suck cash from you in the blink of an eye...so having a 6.4 daily driver/people mover seems very silly to me...
