Is there any way to prevent the CEL to come on after installing the AFE intake, besides not installing it. Also is every truck kinda different if it will get the CEL or not. Thanks

The placement of the MAF sensor is likely the problem. The owners manual clearly states this to be a problem that will release Ford of responsibility for related failure. The sensor controls in part the way the truck runs.

No offense, but what is so great about the AFE?

Does it make your truck faster, sound better, more MPG? Does it look kewl?
