New Shocks, Do I have to get an alignment now?

Quick question. I have read things both ways and wanted to see what guys here were saying. I just had an alignment done around 15-20k miles ago. Odometer is currently sitting at 86K. Im pretty sure the shocks are shot. They look like they are about to rust off. Any how im replacing them with some Bilstein 24-186018 Fronts and 24-186025 rears. Found them on SDtrucksprings for $80 each. They even had a coupon code for 25 off 250 spent. Sweet deal.

So what I really want to know is replacing shocks cause for an alignment check? Not really wanting to waste the time or the money if its not needed. Currently the tire wear on the fronts are looking good. No issues.

Thanks all,

Man, im having a freaking nightmare trying to get an alignment. I put in 2" daystar level kit in the front and a 1" block in the rear. I aslo put in 4 es9000 procomp shocks and 4 RADD 22" rims and 4 nitto trail grapplers. well before I put the the 22" tires on i took it to ford dealership a couple times to get it aligned. i dont think they did it right even after taking it back twice. so once i put the new tires and rims on, i could really tell it was off. so now im going to have to take it some were else. those tires are high dollar to have a bad alignment. so i think im going to take it to 4wheelparts to have them realign since the only deal with lifted trucks. oh and its gonna cost me another $150 dolloars to do.

4WheelParts is going to charge you $150 for a front end alignment??? That's insane! Didn't the Ford dealer give you a printout of the specs and what they set the truck at?

I agree, it is a lot for front end. That's why I took it to the dealership. I had to take it back twice because both times i kept having to hold the wheel more to the left when driving. They did give me a print out that showed all of the alignment specs in the green. However, it seems to be pulling to the left when braking now. And the steering column seems really loose. Maybe i should take to a new dealership? This dealership took all day the first time and half a day the second and still didn't get it right.
