I don't have much boost, 31psi max 21psi pulling hard! It pulls my trailer 20mph slower up the same hills than my '05 6.0 that was stock. They also did not get the mirror right, wont fold in and I have a check engine light on too. Will I ever get everything fixed on it???????

That sucks man...the boost could be a wastegate issue. My cousin had the same problem. His boost wouldn't go all the way and it felt like something was holdin the truck back. Dealer found something wrong with the wastegate.

Hey thanks that is good to know. It feels super dead with a trailer, hit a hill and it just dies! Took it to another body shop that participates in the nation wide warranty I have with the work, they said to bring it back Monday and leave it and they will give us another rental car. The mirror seems to be stripped, folds in while you are driving on the freeway. They are also going to replace the air dam that fell off with a new one, wonder if it will be the new improved one? I also noticed a whole in the door pillar where the elks horn came through the windshield and stuck in it. I guess a truck is never quite right after a bad accident. I will tell my Ford tech about the wastegate issue, he told me they lost the readings they got from it last October, so maybe that will give him somewhere to start! Thanks!

Fletcher, I am glad that your truck is back in the yard. Have you tried to unplug the boost sensor, and see if it will let it eat? Now mine will go over 40 up hills ( I also replaced the electronic waste gate controller with a spring to let the turbos open and close it as needed) Only thing that sucks is the ECM will shut it down if it goes too much over 40 and then its time to reset it with the key on/off/on and then its all good again. I hope you get this issue fixed as I too hated driving the 08 until this was fixed or rigged or whatever you want to call it, but if it will blow up a hill and pass other dieses that arel loaded ,or unloaded I don't care .It just made the $58,000 purchase seem a little more worth it .I have never had a truck that will pull like this one when its all go ,but when she bogs and shuts boost down its all slow!

O- and CEL has been on since I brought it home so I am used to that , now it has codes for boost control problem -- its because you can't control it NOW !!! I am going to just take the bulb out when ever I get around to it.

Hey Richard, would unplugging the boost sensor give more power to anyone running the KEM or did Mike suggest that as a fix for your truck issue?
