6.4 got worse mpg after tune and exhaust

Gents, I put a edge evolution race tuner on and 5 inch down pipe back straight on. Now it get worse mpg, a lot worse. I set it on custome tune 1 which is the mild setting with the dpf setting off like its supposed to be. Is there something I'm doing wrong. My understanding your supposed to get much better with less restrictions.

Are you going by hand calculations or by what the reading on the dash says? I also ran the evolution for awhile and found the best mileage on the #3 setting.

With the dash meter it's reading 9 mpg. Is this thing wrong? I will try by hand next time. I just didn't understand this, I'll try setting 3 as well.

Im unfamiliar with the edge, but you should see an increase in mpg.... More power usually equaly more mpg. may have a tuner issue or try hand calculating allso

Yeah for some reason the dash reading is out most of the time even on a stock truck. With mine, I find that if I can drive all highway it is relatively close most of the time but as soon as I start driving in the city it throws it way out. Hand calculating is going to give you the most accurate data either way.
