Hissing noise

I have a 08 f250 and was wandering if anyone heard a hissing noise coming from the right side of the truck by the wheel well after turning off the truck? No clue what it is

I would check to see if you have a boost leak maybe on the hot side intercooler pipe if not that it might be a hole in the intercooler it's self like mine, I have a hole and its a pretty loud hiss.

Oh boy hissing is usually a boost or exhaust leak. Hopefully it's a boost leak that can be easily fixed. Bad case scenario are the up pipes.

Check for soot. Not a good sign if it's present around your engine.

I revved it and didn't see anything. I recently had the head gaskets replaced. I guess they would have noticed if something was wrong

Re: Hissing noise

Ok. Mine has a broken exhaust manifold bolt and some times it squeals. You may have a look at your manifold bolts just to rule it out.
