6.7 dpf on a 6.4???

I'm sitting here bored at work and thought of this... Would a 6.7 dpf system work on the 6.4? The reason I ask is because I have the 6.4 and my dad has the 6.7. Rather then have the two systems laying around just have the 6.7 system and use them for both trucks when it's time for emmissions.

I doubt it would bolt up. The dpf for a 6.4 is a much shorter item than the dpf/urea section in a 6.7. Plus, I don;t think it would work right on the 6.4 as the 6.7 uses the urea so it may not have as much dpf media in it, or it oculd have more which would mess with the sensors in the 6.4 possibly causing it to stay in regen.
I know you are asking only to use it for inspection purposes, but I wouldn't risk it myself.
