Question Knocking from under Driver side feet.??????

quick and to the point...Recently snowed here is CO, used 4X one morning, for a short while (up hill stuff) about 8 miles later I noticed a knocking sound and feel just from under my feet, this happens while driving down the road either on a smooth surface or rough, I have looked under the truck and have found no loose parts or anything.... Afraid to take to dealer, same old bs (well we will need it for the whole day it even be next week yadayadayada) Any Ideas.

Front drive shaft. Take it out and have it repaired. I am 95% sure this is your problem. Had TWO 08 trucks do this after snow in my area. Both had damage in the front shaft where the double U-Joint is. Hard to see, hard to diagnose unless you finally break the thing like I did. Hope this helps. Cost me about $225 for new u joint replacement at a local driveshaft shop.

Also, make sure your front hubs are unlocking. Mine werent, caused the shaft to go bad. If the front shaft is spinning while in 2wd the front hubs may not be unlocking.

Cool Knock noise

I think my knock is from the brake pedal assembly, do you have adjustable pedals? I do

One does and one doesn't have adjustable pedals. Was the driveshaft on both causing the noise. One had hubs that wouldn't unlock properly and the other only made the noise in 4x4.

Thanks for the responses guys.. funny thing the day after I posted this, the temps warmed up and the ice melted from under the truck, I haven't heard the knocking since. However if anyone can tell me WTF is up with the fuel milage (9.3-10.2) I would appreciate it...Stock system, K&N filter in stock housing.

Actually, I noticed this on my 08 in the summer when the a/c compressor engages. If you were running your defroster then the compressor might be the culprit.
