Alright guys huge story for ya.


this guy i know has a 2010 6.4 f-350. beautiful truck. now he has recently put a dpf delete, and somehow put a converter from a car into the exhaust(he said it was to loud)WTF. well he used a car superchips tuner to program the truck. well the trucks a fire breather, i guess its stuck in regen. this truck has ran for weeks like this. i have emailed him many times and he said that the "cleaning exhaust filter" light is on. the truck is still used, he is stacking a edge tuner into the truck very soon and said if the truck ****s up then he will pull out the motor and put a 6.7 into the truck. the truck only has 28000 miles.

now how isnt this truck going into limp mode?

i thought the turbos would fry by now, how are they not?

wouldnt a 6.7 NOT work in a 6.4 truck?

also how is it possible for a super chips car tuner to tune a truck?

also its a fire breather, he says it looks badass, how is this happening??? to high egt's???

You need to get your friend the HELL out of that Ford. He needs a helmet by the sounds of it..........

im trying honestly im even telling him to let me do all the maitnence to that truck, he says no. he thinks a just because he has a mechanic shop he knows everything. i told him but he says its my truck.... so he's right.... why do people got to be idiots with these trucks???

I would tell him to stack the edge on top of it and then put a bullydog on top of that. Then I would wait till it is really cold one night and when I woke up the next morning go out to the truck, crank it, and hold the pedal to the floor. Sounds like there is no help for your friend

If he cant figure out a simple task of buying a dpf delete capable tuner how would he ever figure out the electronics and etc of a 6.7 swap?

WOW!!!! He needs to be dragged away from that poor Ford before he destroys it, if he hasn't already! Too many people out there that think they are tech's and "try" to mod/work on stuff. I don't even tackle newer trucks and I even went to school for diesel/heavy equip repair back a number of years ago. I would guess he doesn't even work on diesel's in his shop, er....car port...uhhhhh...under a tree in the back yard! LOL!!! Get that diesel drivin wannabe AWAY from that rig ramonpowerstroker! Remember, only you can save a Ford!
