Goodbye 6.0L, Hello 6.4L!!!!

Well I finally got my new truck. I've been on the hunt for quite some time, and the right one finally caught my eye and I grabbed it. Brought it home yesterday. All I can say is.... Wow. This truck is phenomenal. It's amazing to me how much Ford refined these trucks since 2004. Don't get me wrong, I love my 2004 6.0L, but this is a completely different animal. I think I can say without a doubt, and I'm sure I'm not the only person that feels this way, but you really can not truely appreciate these 6.4's without having owned a 6.0 before.

Now for the details....

This thing has EVERYTHING. Sunroof, nav, heated seats, chrome package, extra heavy duty alternator, supplemental cab heater, tailgate step, 20" wheels, snow plow prep, upfitter switches, block heater, FX4 package, clearance lights, and factory remote start.

I'm not going to jump into this thing as deep as I did with my 6.0. I'm gonna keep it pretty mild, and it won't get driven very frequently at all. I've had the fast and loud, now I want quiet. So if anyone is looking for fast and loud, I've got one of those that needs a new home as well...

Nice truck you have there! Great part about the 6.4 is you can make it fast and it will still be quiet. I have a 5 inch flo-pro and everyone that rides in my truck cannot believe that it is straight piped and has no muffler. Exhaust is virtually silent in the cab. Good Luck with the new ride!

Thank you sir. I've got a friend with a 5" exhaust on his 6.4 and it does sound really nice. I'd like to do a 5", but I really want to put on one of those Magnaflow dual tailpipe kits and those are 4" with 5" tips. May end up just doing a delete pipe since those are a DPF back kit. I'm not too worried about high EGT's or anything, it won't be juiced that hot.... Least not while I own it.

Congrat`s on the new ride . I like the dark interior with the white body combo. Try and scoop up the last of the remaining mini maxx`s you won`t regret it.

Congrats on the new ride! I concur on your comment that you can appreciate a 6.4L more after owning a 6.0L.

Nice truck. Other than the clearance lights & color it's equipped just like mine. Now, if you want to make it an entirely different animal (and still keep it quiet) do a dpf/doc delete, tuner (Mini Maxx or Spartan), egr/cooler delete, and cai. If you think you have a smile now.....
