Well it happened last night, my wife was rear ended by a Tahoe at 35 mph. So far the truck appears to have handled it pretty well.
She was stoppped in the road waiting for traffic so she could turn left when a Tahoe rear ended her at 35.
So far I only think the rear bumper and recon light was messed up.
I'll take pics and post them in the day light.

very glad to see that your wife is ok though. 35 is pretty dang fast. Ouch on the neck

Probably on the cell phone, like most bonehead drivers that cause wrecks are. Glad to hear your wife it okay! Good thing she had all that truck around her!

man o man if she was on the phone i would rip her a new one. glad you wife is ok. maybe as a souvineer you should try and snag the tahoes broken chevy emblem and hang it on your wall in the garage. kinda like a trophy you know.. one at a time

Ya the whole phone thing is BS. Quick story...I had just bought my truck not even 2 weeks before I was rearended in a 3 car chain reaction. This 17yr old girl was TEXTING...yes TEXTING on her phone when she his a Geo Tracker, which his a Dodge Ram Van, which hit me...of course, Ford stops the chain reaction...lol. Needless to say, I was P.O'd!!!

This is wierd, I too was rearended by a Tahoe at 35mph this year while I was sitting at a red light! She knocked me thirty feet into the intersection. I was in my '05 F350(day after I ordered my '08) and it had over $6000 damage and a bent frame! Has your wife gone to a Chiropracter? I thought I was fine but the Whiplash set in the next day Bad!!! I ended up with $2500 worth of med. bills and my neck still is not right and that was Jan. 2, 2007! I always made fun of whiplash, but it is real, and very serious!! Good luck, I hope your wife is o.k..

We waited until today but my wife still says she is fine and has no pain. We think the kid was texting on his cell phone, a block earlier he almost ran a stop sign and hit her, then stopped at the sign for a long time before he rear ended her 400 feet down the road. He didn't even try to stop before impact and my truck didn't move. His Tahoe was picked up from the dealer that afternoon and he didn't have his insurance with him (if he has it) and was still on the demonstration tag from the dealer (I know Dealer has insurance). Stupid idiot didn't even own the vehilce for 6 hours before he totaled it.
I looked at my truck this morning and it looks pretty good (rear bumper damaged pretty good, trailer light plug broken, Recon line of fire broken, and a small chip in my tailgate). I don't see anything on the frame but will have it checked just to make sure.
