The 6.4 has the sequential turbos... One small one feeding a larger one! NOT twins.... This guys knows that there are two turbos on his truck, but never researched the proper word for it... He just assumes it's a "twin turbo"..

That is what I thought until I did some research/ heard some members teach on them in the 6.4 section

Twins= two similar sized turbos each feeding their own side of the engine...

Sequential= one smaller one feeding one larger one INLINE with each other. The small one helps spool, while the larger one helps up top

Very informative i assumed 2 meant twin but i guess you are right twin would mean 2 of the same. Damn always learning on this great site...Thanks

By ford classifying it as a twin= gas guzzler tax. Turbo assist= none.

I don't think you can have a gas guzzler tax in vehicles that aren't EPA rated for fuel mileage (since they are exempt). But I could be wrong....
