My 6.4 Farm Truck build thread

Hey guys,
First off, let me say i'm in no way new to diesels however I prefer duramax (haters can be hatin' right now) but wow I love this 6.4! Also I created this build thread so everyone can see my ideas and use them on there own trucks, as well as give me advice. It's a win-win.

The truck: 2008 F550 6.4L Crew cab/chassis with a 200.2" WB. It is 4x4, XLT, auto tranny, 125k miles but 56k on new motor, also has 0 miles on new radiator. We bought it saturday for $17k which we (we being me and my dad) didn't think was a bad price from a dealer. Has an 8x10.5ft. hydraulic dumping flatbed line-x'd white that we put on.

The mods: The day after we bought it, I picked up a Spartan tuner/DashDAQ for $400 and It's in the process of being unlocked now. We also ordered a flo-pro 4 inch straight pipe (No DOC/DPF/muffler), flo-pro egr delete, and s&b intake.

Interior: Black and tan with rubber floor. It was a landscapers truck so the cloth had tar stains, rips, and whatnot so we ordered new black with tan stripe leather seat covers with heat pads in the fronts and a center console to replace the jumper seat in the front middle.

Exterior: REALLY FRIGGEN CLEAN. no dents to speak of. Awesome. I plan to color match it white. We are looking for 22.5" super singles on the back and drivers on front.

I love this truck, can't wait for it to be deleted! She'll run out hard! I'll get pics soon.

Besides that I have a 09 LMM duramax deleted, and Dad has a 2012 LML denali HD but he wishes he would've waited for the 6.7 platnums to come out.

You're going to start thinking differently about the 6.4 once you tune and delete it. It's a beast.

Either that or it'll blow up and you'll swear off Fords the rest of your life. Chances are though, that'll it'll just run hard and you'll wonder why you've been foolin' with d-bags... I mean Duramaxes. Just kiddin'. Can't let you come in here without a little ribbin'.

Good start so far. You stole that Spartan at that price (isn't the unlock like $100 now?). The rest of the build looks fairly typical so far. Have fun and good luck man.

Update! Today I got all the parts. For the price of the Flo Pro 4 inch I got a Diamond eye SS 5inch instead. We also got Rudy's diesel EGR delete, s&b intake (already installed today), and 245/70r19.5 TreadWright Guard Dogs which is basically a DuraTrac. Also someone made a hell of an offer on the LineX'd flatbed so we sold it and are getting an EBY aluminum dumping bed. Will hopefully be color matched soon as well.

That thing is a beast. What kind of work are you gonna use it for exactly? Not many farmers/ranchers down here that run around with 200" WB 550's lol
