sct 9625or dpf/egr delete questions??

I'm fairly new to powerstrokes and really new to performance mods

I recently got my hands on an sct 9625or and i wanted to know if the dpf delete pipe needed the bungs ive seen advertised on some and also if this programmer allows me to install egr delete kit

U dont need bungs but you need to have one of the sensors plugged in. I think it's the back pressure sensor with the square plug. It doesn't have to be in the pipe but just plugged in or it will idle at 1000 rpms.

thanks man i appreciate it im just trying to get this problem fixed asap from everything ive heard and been told this egr delete should solve my overheating problem, if you know anything about that feel free to give me advice, when pulling a load or getting on the throttle heavy the gauge goes from normal temp to the red in about .5 seconds but all i have to do is let off and slow down and it goes right back down to normal temp, anything youve heard of?
