Smog check? Louisana help!

I'm about to move to Barksdale AFB in Bossier City in about 3 months. Does anyone know if they do diesel testing there? If so let me know what they do. Thanks.

They don't. I was stationed there for 3 years, I feel bad for you.

Mainly just joking, although I'd never want to go back there.

I'd look east of bossier. I believe it's called Haughton. Kind of out of Town a little ways but still close. Anything with a Shreveport address I'd be wary of. I lived on base most of the time I was there. All the apartments near base are no bueno. If you like gambling or drinking your in luck. Plenty of both and the bars in Shreveport close at 6 AM. Hunting on base is supposed to be good.

Either live in Bossier,Benton or Haughton...Stay away from Shreveport unless you like living with coons. They have taken over Shreveport....

I thought of this thread when this came across my desk this morning..

Quote:
Barksdale Air Force Base

Location: Bossier City , La.

Population: 5,372 active-duty; 1,534 reservists; 7,125 family members; 1,288 civilians

Founded: 1932

Size: 22,000 acres

Regional economic cost of base closing (first year): $753.8 million

Barksdale is home to the 2nd Bomb Wing, the largest bomb wing in the Air Force's Global Strike Command. It is on a constant ready signal to send military aircraft overseas. Other bases, including in Montana and Virginia , could take over some of its operations if the base is trimmed or shut.

seems Barksdale is on the short list of closures/furloughs when the sequestration lands.. there are six more bases on that list of 'first to get nailed', and it's also on the list for 'long term' economic savings- which also puts it on the hit list.

Cool thanks for the advice. I'm looking to live on base for the first year. Hey Romeo Kilo, I was reading that dogs weighing more then 100lbs can't live on base. How true is this and is it enforced?? My mastiff weighs about 190 haha
