6.4 Programmers ???

I talked to my local Ford dealer today. Asked their take about putting a programmer on my new truck. They (they being my salesman and the co-owner of the dealership) said that just adding a programmer will not void my warranty. But, if a part fails when under warranty, Ford requires the dealer to print the info from the ECM. If they determine that the part failed because of performance mods, then they can refuse warranty for that part. They said the ECM does store all info and shows if a aftermarket programmer was used. They said that there are a few companies that make programmers, that when you upload the original facgtory settings, it removes any traces that an aftermarket programmer was ever used. My salesman thought that Bullydog was one of them. Anybody know anything about this?

We sell Bullydog, and they are the WORST for leaving a foot print behind. SCT has proven to be the best in our experience. Our Ford dealership actually buys custom SCT's from us for there "Elite Customers" lol.

Fuel Economy!!! I towed my 35' Fifthwheel and am getting around 8 mpg. I was getting 11 - 11.5 with my '02 F-250. My '08 seemed to have enough power for pulling the hills. If I could average at least 15 mpg running empty, I would be happy. By the way, thanks for info Julian. I will call Mike and see if he can set me up with what I need.
