what tranny fluid?

I'm getting ready to change my tranny fluid and filter, im going with motorcraft filter, but what is a good fluid you guys are running? also for diff's and transfer case fluids?

most guys are running motorcraft sp fluid but there are guys running other brands. as far as diffs i've seen guys running royal purple.

trans gets merc LV or SP only, as does the Tcase IIRC, i use valvoline syn for my difs

X2! Only mercon SP or LV. I also use the valvoline synthetic in the diff's.

You need to use what you have in there now. Some fluids aren't compatible with each other. If you using motorcraft use the LV. The transfer case takes motorcraft transfer case fluid not sp or lv like stated by someone above.

I just bought the truck a few weeks ago, so I'm not sure what fluids the last owner used, its just at 75k now, so I dont know if any of them have even beeen serviced yet.. I already did the oil and filters, and installed a coolant filter. I want to get everything done so I know where I'm at.. Thanks for all the replies
