Lookin at first 6.4

Im looking at a 2008 6.4 with the standard Trans with 49k miles on it wanted to get everyone's input and what the Trans and clutch can hold up to I currently own a 750hp duramax but lookin at some different options I want any options on the trucks as Iv never owned a new ford diesel only the obs 7.3

adrian speeder could probably give you the best info. hes got a standard. Those miles are low for an 08. be sure to check oasis reports and look it over good if its a work truck version as sometimes they ge abused. Looks like you are into customizing so after you put your touch and a tune you should have a pretty solid truck. The automatic trucks trannys from what i understand will hold 600hp....obviously not drag racing every day

What supporting mods would I need to be around 550hp dpf/cat delete egr cooler delete and h&s race one the few that are left are the first things I'm doin

Also how do I find out if it was a job 1 ? It said manufactured 4/22/08 on the carfax

The supporting mods you listed will easily put you at 550 hp, like you're wanting.
