Hunting trip... pics and report!

Just got back from an elk hunting trip in Cloudcroft, NM and the truck was a BEAST in the snow/mud!! They got about a foot of snow the day before the hunt so I was a little nervous taking it but everything turned out fine after some deep cleaning. There was some serious off-roading and terrain where we went and I didnt come close to having any problems in any area (engine, traction, etc). My truck went into regen just before the trip so I didnt expect one... but the last day of the hunt while in 4WD I heard the fan reving up. So I put it in P and sure enough the RPMs climed and it started a regen. I thought maybe because I had been driving it hard but it turned out the exhaust tips were all covered in ice and frozen mud. I cleared the exhaust tip holes and even after 400 hwy miles after that it hasn't regened. So i guess the EGTs were a higher cuz the holes were all plugged and it made it regen

haha.. guess it wouldnt be a hunting post without that huh?? We only put in for a cow tag but was pretty good sized. I love elk meat.. not too game-y and very lean.
