Anybody have an idea how to disable the daytime runnung lights? Used to be as simple as pulling the DRL fuse - it told you which one in the fuse id section of the manual

People have said that you just have to program the smart junction box, but my dealer just said that it was a lot more complicated and I would have to get an aftermarket product for it. Fortunately, the passive security option I got enabled it

all the SD i have seen don't have daytime running lights

Mine doesn't have DRLs, but there is an "auto" on the light switch that you can flip to.... is that what you are talking about?

canadian trucks have drls. i think that there should be a fuse or a relay that you can take out to disable the drls. i know that in my car, i had to pull out a relay, but the dash indicator is still showing that the drls are on.

its like fuse number #12 under the hood in that tread people said theres was a red 10 amp fuse but mine was a blue 15 amp fuse. i just turned the key on and then pulled the fuse out and the lights went off.

It is a regulation here. We have to have daytime running lights on all new vehicles now. I dont think ambers count, but I could be wrong.

I had DRL's but went to the dealer and had them programmed off. It cost a 1/2 hr labor, $42. I don't know if pulling the fuse will cause anyother problems so I just went the safe route. The did it in about 15 min while I waited. If you have the dealer program them off, you know you aren't messing anything else up.
